1. Surprise The Family on Valentine’s Day

I love the idea of surprising your loved ones with a simple Valentine’s Day gift on Valentine’s Day morning (especially if you have little kiddos!) I have been scouring the web looking for different ideas on what I can put together for Zac and Liam on Valentine’s Day morning. It’s a little different for us this year since we will be leaving for vacation early that morning but I still wanted to put something together! I ended up piecing together a Valentine’s Day basket that includes some of their favorite items! It’s a great way to start the day with a smile on their face. I’ve also listed some other ideas you can try if you are going to be home most of the day!

I love the idea of making special meals for breakfast, lunch, or even dinner! This is something simple you can replicate and it should not cost much at all, just the costs of the ingredients! Most of these recipes are items that are already in most of our kitchens. You can easily make heart-shaped pancakes for breakfast or add some strawberries to your waffles to give it a little flair. I think making a Valentine’s Day themed meal makes the day seem even more special! Here are some great ideas for Valentine’s Day meals for the fam!

3. Make Handmade Valentines

It’s so much fun to make handmade valentine’s cards to give out rather than buying store-bought that thousands of other people have bought! I love to be able to make any type of crafts and this is something you can easily do on the cheap. I would recommend going to your nearest dollar tree and grabbing construction paper, glitter, stickers, etc. and then letting you and your little ones go at it! Even if things turn out to be a mess, it wasn’t money wasted.
